More evidence that daily aspirin dose cuts cancer risk
This article specifically talks about how aspirin can help cut the risk of cancer. It goes on stating that if you take this prescription drug daily, you'll have a 25% lower rate of developing cancer. They also pointed out that taking the prescription medicine can cause damage to the gut and intestinal bleeding. As of now, they are figuring out ways to fix that. The more you know I suppose. There are apparently some benefits from it, and some risk.

Dell believes it can kill Apple on the Tablet front
This article talks about how Dell claims they can take on Apple on the tablet market. The new tablet that Dell is working on will use the new Windows 8 OS. It also goes on talking about how the Tablet would benefit from Windows 8 GUI, using the touch capabilities. I'm not too sure if they can take Apple on, with the release of the iPad3, I don't think they will have a chance.

Trial of the Nerds: Part III
The movie continues where we left off last week, talking about how Apple was struggling against IBM during the 1980s. I was surprised to find out how technology we use now were actually used back then in the 70s-80s. Also how Bill Gates took the idea of the GUI that Steve Jobs took from Xerox, and made it his own creating Windows. I didn't know that was how it all started, I didn't even know that Steve Jobs was gone from Apple. Even if this is a 10-15 year old documentary, I learned a lot that I didn't even know.

Microsoft Windows Security Update
This article talks about Microsoft's recent update. It specificly fixes an issue with the RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol), in which has vunerability to malicious attacks. The exploit could allow any hackers to run malicious code on your Windows PC. Microsoft has recommended that all Windows Users, meaning XP, Vista, and 7, should install the security update. There are always flaws in systems, there can never be a perfect one. Security seems to be a big issue with PCs nowadays.

Red meat consumption linked to early death
This article talks about a study about the risk of red meat. The study was in a period of 28 years and it shows that out of 100,000 people, at least 16,000 died from cardio-vascular disease or cancer. I learned a lot about this article. It just reminded me not to eat a lot of meat and eat my vegetable.

Microsoft Can Make Your Voice Speak Foreign Languages
In this article, it talks about Microsoft developing a system where your voice can speak different languages. It goes to say that this system will synthesize the sound of your voice. It states that it can translate between 26 languages. My thoughts on this is that it would be interesting to hear how you sound like in a different language. Hearing yourself say words in a different language may actually help you pronounce them.

Trial of the Nerds Part 2
Another interesting documentary. This part talked about the rise and fall of IBM and how it was the top dog during the mid 80's. Microsoft also played a big part in IBM's rise and demise. I thought that it was probably the right move by Microsoft, distributing their softwares and products to other PC rivals as the PC world booms. IBM made too many mistakes on their side. They should of listened to Microsoft and taken their advice. Now IBM is no longer a big threat in the PC universe.

Apple unveils its next iPad/Apple will continue to sell 16GB Wi-Fi iPad 2 for $399, 3G model for $529
There were two articles I read for today. One being about the unveiling of the iPad 3 and the other about the reduce price on 2nd generation iPads. The first article gives us details about the new iPad, its capabilities and price ranges for its versions. With the new stuff added to this generation iPad, I would figure that they would increase the cost of purchase. Surprisingly, the starting prices for the 3rd generation iPads are as much as what the 2nd generation iPads were sold, $499-$829.
The next article talks about Apple reducing the prices of last generation's iPad. The 16GB iPad2 will being sold at $399, while the 3G model at $529. This will definitely boost the sales for Apple this coming quarter. I wouldn't mind getting myself one.

Startups Dropbox and Box reach for the cloud
This article talks about similarities between Dropbox and Box and their competititions. It gives out a brief history about both companies and their goals. My thoughts on this is that with cloud computing rising, there will be more companies following what Dropbox, Box, and all of the current cloud computing companies are doing. I also believe that in the next few years, cloud computing will replace most of our personal computer storaging devices.

Cloud Computing to Create 14 Million New Jobs by 2015
This article is about a study of what cloud base computing can create new jobs. The study shows that cloud computing will create 14 million new jobs and make as much as $1.1 Trillion dollars in revenue by the end of 2015. It would definitely benefit a bunch of people who has either got laid-off or fired from their previous job. America has been in a slump for the past few years and I believe that this might be the solution to bring us, as a whole nation, back up.

03/01/2012 Movie
The movie was about the beginning of the first computers made. It goes on talking about how it revolutionally changed the industry. I thought that it was a good movie. It showed us how Apple started and how it was successful. It also showed the Computer Industry's Owners insights of how they started and struggled in the beginning.
